and let your natural voice come out
If singing feels like hard work, your throat tightens, high notes feel out of reach, or you tire out quickly, the problem usually isn't your voice. It's the tension layered on top of it.
This free guide shows you exactly where you're holding it, plus 30 ways to let it go.
Tension has the ability to distort your natural tone. Let it go and you'll hear your true voice underneath. We do this by following 3 steps.
While we can hold tension in our entire body, four main areas majorly affect the singing voice: the jaw, tongue, neck, and lips. Knowing them is where we start.
Just because you feel tension in one place doesn't mean this is where it originated. This quiz will help you pinpoint where your tension is actually coming from.
Easy to follow techniques and exercises to strip your tension off and keep it away so that you can experience ease in your voice like never before.
Free vocal cords stretch the way they're meant to, so higher notes stop feeling like a fight.

Riffs get easier, vibrato shows up naturally, and your voice finally feels easy to control.

Singing without tension is how you protect your voice and keep singing for years to come.

Remove tension and experience your full, well rounded and natural tone.

For years, I thought that working hard while singing meant that I was doing it right. After all, everyone around me said that singing was hard. So I kept singing through the tightness, in hopes that eventually hitting powerful high notes would start feeling easier. Unfortunately, it never did.
And instead, I stopped making progress and kept losing my voice until my body said enough is enough. I was diagnosed with vocal pre-nodules and thought that this was the end of my singing journey.
But I wasn't ready to give up on it. So I started over, relearning how to sing without all the force and tension I'd been carrying. Little by little, my voice came back. And this time, because singing finally felt good instead of like a fight, it came back stronger than it had ever been.
Together with Emily, our Head Vocal Coach at VoxTape Studios, I shaped everything that unlocked my voice into a method for all singers, and this is the guide where it starts.
